The union of two highly logical parents created the unlikely, but extraordinary, creative mind of Tamara McTavish. Born and raised in sunny California, Tamara made the move with her family out to Colorado in the early nineties where she spent her formative middle and high school years. But the bright lights of Hollywood drew her back to the West Coast to continue her education at Columbia College Hollywood in Tarzana, CA. Here, she graduated with honors and received a BS degree in film and television production with an emphasis in editing.
Tamara has a deep-rooted passion in the creative process and loves bringing stories to life. Ever since childhood, she knew she wanted to work with film, cameras, and all those behind-the-scenes electronic devices most of us tend to avoid. While in college, she worked at a motion picture camera rental shop called The Camera House in Los Angeles where she coordinated cinematographers, directors, and production staff and learned the Tinsletown ropes.
After completing her degree, the Rocky Mountains drew Tamara back to Colorado once again where she began work at rabble+rouser in 2008. A sports fan through and through, she couldn’t be happier to be reunited with her Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rockies. Tamara started her rabble career as an Agency Associate, but was quickly promoted to Video Editor, Producer, and later into her current role as Head of Production.
